El Campo

A couple of images shot out in the ‘campo’ of Andalucia last summer. I love the structure in all these plants when seen up close, even though they’re scorched to a crisp by the intense heat. Shot on my Fujifilm X-Pro1, with an XF60mm, f2.4 macro lens.

Mono mountains

These were shot when Jen and I were training for the Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge. I used a variety of cameras, from full-frame Canon to humble iPhone, depending on how fit I felt on the day. A big Canon is a heavy beast, so sometimes I took nothing but my iPhone, and sometimes my little Canon […]

Roath Park

A few iPhone pics from a walk around Roath Park lake. Thinking of ditching the Sinar, Leaf, Hasselblad, Canon, etc…

Hipstamatic images on iPhone

I really like using the Hipstamatic app for iPhone. You just never know what you’re going to get after shaking it up and shooting away. Here’s a few snaps from a recent trip to Cornwall.

Principality billboard shoot

Just came across this alternative version of a shot I did for the Principality Building Society earlier in the year. The people were shot in the studio in one hit. The background, which was shot in -6 degrees temperatures in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons, was then dropped in behind – after the snow […]

Cardiff Bay XXXL

Here’s a big boy for ya! Shot this as a stitching test on my Leaf back: 8 shots stitched together to produce 40214 x 5007 pixels @ 300ppi (3m x .42m, 576mb 8-bit tiff). Pretty sharp. too!

These three images were shot with a little Canon G10 point-and-shoot. I live a 2 minute walk away from this great bit of Welsh coastline but haven’t managed to go and photograph it ‘properly’. These will have to do until I get around to it!
